Late 1980s - 1990s
Export of refrigeration equipment for the aquaculture industry to Vietnam was carried out through ODA (Japan International Development Assistance). At that time, SEAPRODEX (Vietnam Aquatic Products Import-Export Company) was the main partner and SEAREFICO (SEAREFICO Company) was the implementing unit, which later became ARICO (General Refrigeration Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of SEARIFICO).

Early 1990s - 1995
Support for Vietnam mainly focused on overseas refrigeration and heating. However, in 1995, Mayekawa's Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City was established.

Since about 2005
Refrigeration compressors have moved from the traditional Reciprocating type to the Screw type, and the widespread sale of Screw compressors has also led to the marketing of Thermojack Freezers. Along with that, Thermojack products manufactured by domestic Vietnamese manufacturers have appeared on the market.
